Logo Questions

1. I am going to design the logo for the cooking club

2.The questions that i had for this club were
What do members of the club do?
If there's a certain category of food that they focus on like desserts,         breakfast, or dinners or any cultural foods?
What the members value the most or find most important in this club?

3. This is a cooking club that is just for fun. They cook anything and it is focused on a balanced meal and healthy eating. There isn't much more to it.

4.Adjectives that describe the club include
       Passion, fun, relaxing, healthy, focused

5.I can use more fun and open typeface to show that the club is fun and welcoming. I would use symbols that represent healthy eating or passion to represent the club

Finding Type Homework

1. This picture has combination of different style fonts. "The", "it" and "you" use old style. "However" uses sans serif. And "best" and "slice" use a from of script which is italics.
2. This was used on a bread truck and it was used for the slogan.
3. I think this type face is appropriate for this advertisement because it's clear enough so that when the truck is moving people can read it and at the same time it emphasizes the "best" and "slice" by using italics to show that their brand is the best fro bread.

 1. This text uses sans serif.
2. This was used on a bus stand and it was used for Drake's brand, which sells pastries.
3. I think that this typeface is appropriate because it is fun and welcoming typeface which is appropriate to draw people into buying the brand's goods.

1. This test uses sans serif for the "Samsung" part of the text and uses "decorative"  for the "galaxy s 4" part of the text.
2. This was used for the phone box of the Galaxy S4.
3. I think that this typeface is appropriate for this brand because the "Samsung" part of the text portrays that the phone is structured well just like the text and the Galaxy S4 part of the text shows that the phone is sleek because the typeface portrays and sleek and smooth font.
1. This test uses sans serif with a combination of decorative.
2. This is the text for the logo of the Lego brand.
3. I think this typeface is appropriate because the font portrays something fun and bubbly which what the brand wants to do since it's selling toys for children who want something fun.
1. This text uses sans serif.
2. This type is used for the logo of the Facebook brand.
3. I think this font style is appropriate for the Facebook logo because it's a simple font style and that portrays what Facebook is: something simple that everyone can use.
1. This test uses script.
2. This test is used for the logo of Disney.
3. I think this typeface is very appropriate for the Disney logo because by being in script, the logo shows human creativity which is what the Disney brand is all about. Disney brand is compiled of cartoons, shows, amusement parks which are all results of human creativity which is expressed through their logo.

Gif Letter Project

1. The most frustrating thing about this project was trying to make the shapes and lines in a neat and professional looking way. It was hard for me to make a certain line without it looking messy. I was easier to make certain lines as a sketch but on gimp it was very frustrating and challenging.

2. I feel more comfortable with the path tool because i used that a lot throughout my gimp. At first it was complicated tool but the more i used it the better i got at it.

3. I wish i was better at the pencil tool, so i could make better lines and better shapes.

4. I think it would be better if we could edit photos on gimp so we can explore other editing aspects.
